Melissa Melin-Miles

Missy Melin-Miles was elected the 2025 President of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) at the association's 136^th annual meeting. A licensed funeral director/embalmer since 2000, Melin-Miles works at Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes, Inc., a 104-year-old family-owned funeral firm with locations in Cheshire, Conn., Naugatuck Conn., and Waterbury, Conn.
 
After receiving her professional schooling in Mortuary Science from Briarwood College (now Goodwin University), Missy was a funeral director/embalmer in Connecticut and Arizona, and worked as an embalmer in Japan and Colorado before she joined Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes in 2013. 
 
The native of West Haven, Conn. is an alumna of Lauralton Hall in Milford, Conn. who now lives in Wolcott, Conn.
