It is important that we use our strengths positively and proactively to be of service to others. And if you doubt your sense of self in relation to helping others
remember Ghandi's words when he said, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
More than ever in today's changing world we must aspire to unselfishly share our talents and abilities with others in order to do what we can to make this
Association stronger. Continuous improvement is a challenge to everyone involved in any business. We need to ask ourselves what new ways can we find to improve not only our business, but
this association. It means questioning current practices and looking at problems as opportunity.
While it is easy to sit here and nod our heads, there is a world of difference between talking about change and actually putting such things
into place. Even those of us with the best of intentions recognize the challenges. We are resistant to change if we sense that things are ticking along nicely. We need to overcome
resistance to change and adopt the idea that a culture of continuous improvement is something to strive
for.
